I literally rarely go to any other tattoo artist other than Melani. As you can see, she’s done many of my tattoos(including a Dope hand tatt) and has been sweet, professional, kind and always understanding to any changes in plans or design. She is EXTREMELY talented but doesn’t act cocky. All her designs are done with such awesome speed and precision, they’re so vibrant and don’t fade! All of my tatts look fresh years later. Please visit this tattoo shop and give all the artists love. They’re wonderful!

Daniel has done both of my leg tattoos so far. Colors on them are amazing and I love the designs he comes up with, obsessed with looking at my tattoos all day. Everyone at the shop is super friendly and all the artists are 100/10 amazing. Their artwork is the best I’ve seen in Jacksonville 😘🤌
Tattoos have come a long way in 15 years. I have never felt a better vibe coming into this shop than the previous 4 or 5 shops I’ve been in over the years prior to Obsidian Ink. Mel is my artist but I catch myself admiring much of the work from the other artists in the shop. Ultimately I settled on Mel because that was the style I wanted and needed. We finished a Dragon Ball Z Villians sleeve in just about 7 months and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t walk out in public in a tank anymore without getting looks and compliments. The colors are vibrant and the line work has gathered much praise amongst friends and strangers. We are starting work on the heroes sleeve now and it’s full speed ahead. I highly recommend this shop and Mel, just please don’t take up my time slot on Sunday afternoons so we can finish the heroes side. I have picked my characters and for the most part just let Mel run wild with the colors and her poses and the proof is in the work. Trust the process.

my artist did an incredible job super patient, detail-oriented, and clearly talented. the linework and shading came out perfect, exactly how i imagined (if not better). they also explained the aftercare thoroughly, which i really appreciated.

I got my first ever tattoo by apprentice and artist Han! She was super sweet and nice. I came with gifts for her but she ended up giving me some including a super important and special tattoo. Kept checking in to make sure I was okay and it was nice to know I was sitting well for the tattoo.
The actually tattoo shop was so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. If you’re a fan of anime you’ll enjoy your time stopping in and taking a look to see the artists little corner nicknacks. Most tattoo shops feel so hard rock and make me uncomfortable especially as a queer person but I definitely felt safe and welcomed here!
Han and the other artists are so talented and their work is beautiful, I can’t wait to come back for more.
I got my first tattoo at Obsidian Ink by Melanie! She did a great job designing the concept for my tattoo with the ideas i gave her and was very accommodating to requested changes when i arrived. I felt very comfortable in the shop and it was fun to see all the knick knacks in the shop. It was great to be around likeminded people with similar interests. I enjoyed talking with everyone and watching gaming YouTube videos during my session. will definitely be back!
Best tattoo experience I’ve had in 10 years. I was already beyond excited to get a tattoo by Melanie from seeing her Instagram, but actually going into the shop was a whole other experience I wasn’t expecting.
The atmosphere there is extremely chill, you have a variety of artists with all different types of styles and everyone is extremely pleasant to talk to; which is great when you’re in there for an 6 hours tattoo session. I have to add I absolutely love the aesthetic of the shop and all of it’s nerdy greatness. ðŸ˜
To reiterate – Anyone who is looking to get a tattoo should seriously check this place, but if you’re looking to get some anime or videogame themed tattoos, you honestly shouldn’t be going anywhere else except here for your tattoo work.
